Tina and Scottie Find Their Place on Whitefish Lake
Tina and Scottie had been searching for lakefront property when they came across Brandt's Resort on Whitefish Lake. They scheduled a visit and immediately saw potential. The view was stunning, the location ideal, and the quiet community that Wayne & Linda Brandt built over 30+ years was exactly the kind of environment they had been looking for. It felt like a place they could build into something of their own.

What's the Name all About??
When Tina and Scottie's grandchildren were little, they couldn’t quite say “Papa” or “TT.” Instead, they came up with their own names — Bubba and DD. The nickname stuck, and over the years, Bubba DD has come to mean much more. It’s a reflection of the love Tina and Scottie have for their grandchildren, their family, and the simple joys of life outdoors. The name is a tribute to memory-making, nature-loving, and living life to the fullest.
Tina and Scottie enjoy staying busy and are always up for good conversation. You'll often find them around the resort — tinkering with something, building something new, or planning their next adventure.
Bubba DD Resort
Formerly Brandt’s Resort, Bubba DD is situated on the beautiful shores of Whitefish Lake in Nolalu, Ontario.

Whitefish Lake covers 11.7 square miles, with a maximum depth of about 22 feet and an average depth of 7 feet. The lake drains into Lake Superior via the Arrow River and is known for its exceptional fishing. Thanks to its natural structure and abundant feed, it’s home to trophy walleye (pickerel), jumbo perch, northern pike, and smallmouth bass.

Bubba DD is a rustic, down-to-earth getaway where nature comes first.Tucked away on the shoreline, the resort offers a quiet escape from the noise — a place where early mornings on the water, evenings by the fire, and simple cabin living are part of everyday life. While it’s well known for fishing and hunting, Bubba DD is also a great setting for group retreats, creative workshops, and relaxing weekends away.
